3 Hectares Of Cannabis Farm 'Homeless' In Nagan Raya, Aceh Destroyed

JAKARTA - The Nagan Raya Police in Aceh Province destroyed three hectares of cannabis fields in two different locations in Kuta Teungoh Village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District.

"When he was approached, the cannabis field had no owner, so the officers only destroyed the cannabis plants at the location where they were found", said the Head of the Nagan Raya Aceh Police, AKBP Risno, as reported by Antara, Monday, March 8.

The police found out about the cannabis field after receiving reports from the public that there was an area suspected of cultivating cannabis in Kuta Teungoh Village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang District, Nagan Raya Regency.

The police then formed a team to investigate the location in question. When the officers arrived at the location, said Risno, the officers did not find the owner at the scene.

"Because there is no owner, we collect this cannabis plant and then burn it", he said.

As evidence, the police then set aside some of the evidence totaling 20 cannabis trees to be taken to the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters for further investigation.
