JAKARTA - The WhatsApp account belonging to the Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination from the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia, was hacked by an irresponsible person.

It is not certain since when the account was hacked, but this has been confirmed by the Public Communication Team of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) Lalu Hamdani.

"That's right (number hacked, redaction). Please ignore it", said Lalu when contacted by reporters on Wednesday, 18

VOI tried to contact the number and the hacker answered by asking for assistance in the form of IDR 15 million. He reasoned that his mobile banking application was having problems even though at the same time he needed money.

"Do you have a balance to borrow first ... ??. My bank account is still available ... I have to send it to relatives because there is a sudden accident, I will return the funds tomorrow. Urgent .. !!", wrote the hacker using Nadia's account replying to the message sent by VOI.

Furthermore, in the message he asked for 'assistance' in the amount of IDR 15 million and transferred to an account from Bank BTPN in the name of Eko Wahyuni.

"15 million can be ?? Bank BTPN A / n. Eko Wahyuni account. 9029011294 bank code (213)", she said.

After a long pause, he again called VOI and asked whether the money he had requested had been sent or not.

Meanwhile, when traced on Cekrekening.id, the account number was said to have never been reported in relation to any criminal act.
