After The Second Vaccination, Raffi Ahmad: "It's Like Being Bitten By An Ant, Feeling A Little Sleepy And Tired"

JAKARTA - Raffi Ahmad also underwent the second stage of vaccination at the State Palace, Wednesday, January 27 today. Apart from Raffi, several government officials up to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) were also vaccinated.

Raffi stated that after being injected with the Sinovac vaccine, he only felt sore and drowsy, just like being injected in the first phase of vaccination a few weeks ago.

"It's just like being bitten by an ant. But thank God, I'm just a little sleepy, and tired, I don't feel anything", explained Raffi via the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube live broadcast.

Raffi stated that to all the people not to be afraid of being vaccinated. According to him, vaccines are the main weapon in order to get out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Come on, don't be afraid of vaccines. Cheer up, Mr. President has been vaccinated, we have to trust the government because the government is doing their best", explained Raffi.

The government continues to promote the vaccination program. In the first stage of vaccination, vulnerable groups such as security personnel are the top priority for receiving the vaccine. The Sinovac vaccine requires 2 injections. The injection distance from the first to the second stage is 14 days with the same dose of 0.5 milliliters.

President Joko Widodo became the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the national vaccination program on January 13.

In his statement, the head of state said that the vaccination process was quite simple and fast.

This inaugural vaccination program was also attended by a number of elements of society and high state officials, such as the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, representatives of businessmen, representatives of medical personnel, representatives of small traders, and representatives of religious leaders.
