Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono Becomes Deputy President Commissioner, Following Are PT Pindad's Products That Are Worldwide

JAKARTA - Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono, was appointed by Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir to become Deputy President Commissioner of PT Pindad (Persero). The appointment was made in order to reshuffle the board of commissioners and directors.

PT Pindad is an industrial and manufacturing company that produces military and commercial equipment in Indonesia. The company, which has been a state-owned company since 1983, has employed around 3,000 employees and is included in the defense industry cluster.

The following are PT Pindad's products that have gone global:

SS-2 Assault Rifle

One of the products made by PT Pindad is the SS-2 series assault rifle. Since the initial launch, several countries have taken an interest in bringing in products made by the country's children. As quoted by VOI from Antara, Wednesday, January 20, two countries in the Middle East expressed interest in ordering these weapons. The SS-2 series long rifle itself has 9 variants.

Premium G2 pistol

The G2 Premium pistol made by Pindad is also in demand by one of the neighboring countries. From similar sources, Laos had pre-ordered this type of pistol because of its proven quality. The G2 Premium pistol is a design and frame development that comes from the other G2 variants.

The features and characters on G2 Premium were developed from the feedback of users who have operated the G2 Combat and Elite variants. The G2 Premium Pistol uses 9 mm caliber ammunition and has an effective firing range of up to 25 meters. The G2 Premium is also included in the top variant of the G2 pistol family.

SPR-2

One of the weapons that has become a magnet for countries in the Middle East is the Sniper Rifle (SPR) 2. This weapon was once categorized as the best weapon during a weapons test exhibition in Jordan.

This convinced countries in the region to bring in genuine Indonesian-made weapons. The SPR-2 is capable of hitting targets at a distance of 2 kilometers with very precise accuracy.

This weapon uses bullets with a caliber of 12.7 x 99 mm. In one magazine it can be filled with up to 5 bullets. This rifle can also use the type of bullet 12.7 x 99 mm as needed. There are three variants of SPR, namely SPR-4, SPR-3 Kal. 762 MM, and SPR-2 Kal. 12.7 MM.

Special Vehicles

Quoted by VOI from the official Pindad website, Pindad also produces combat vehicles, including the 4x4 "Komodo" Tactical Vehicle and the 6x6 "Anoa" Panser. There are more than 300 units with various variants of vehicles that have been produced by this company.

This combat vehicle has also participated in UN world peace missions in various countries such as Lebanon, Central Africa and Sudan.

The Komodo 4x4 tactical vehicle consists of four different variants, including the Komodo 4x4 Missile Launcher, Komodo 4x4 Battering Ram, Komodo 4x4 APC Police, and Komodo 4x4 Recon.

While the 6x6 Anoa Panzer consists of seven variants, namely Anoa 6x6 Mortar, Anoa 6x6 Command, Anoa 6x6 Amphibious, Anoa 6x6 Recovery, Anoa 6x6 Armored Personnel Carrier, Anoa 6x6 Ambulance and Anoa 6x6 Logistics.
