Hot Weather Between Biak Numfor Papua, BPBD Reminds Residents To Check Stop Contacts Ahead Of Sleep

PAPUA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reminded Biak Numfor Papuans to check the electrical devices installed at home before going to sleep at night.

Head of BPBD Biak Numfor Regency, Otto PH Wanggai, said that checking was an effort to prevent a fire in the midst of hot weather that had begun to hit Biak Numfor.

"Changes in hot weather or rain over and over in Biak Numfor should get the attention of the residents," he said in Biak, Papua, Sunday, December 4, as reported by Antara.

He again reminded Biak Numfor residents to be aware of fire or other disasters that start from negligence, weather or electrical short circuits.

On Saturday, December 3, a fire hit one of the cafes in Biak Kota. The red rooster has been successfully extinguished but it is hoped that Otto will be a lesson together.

"The cafe fire at the guard post has been extinguished and there have been no casualties," he said.

He appealed to Biak Numfor residents to continue to monitor weather developments from the BMKG station at Frans Kaisiepo Biak Airport.

"It is hoped that it will become information for the community when carrying out activities every day," he added.

Otto said his party had made a number of anticipations related to disasters. One of them uses a 24-hour warning system to monitor the weather and the earthquake. The device was installed at the BPBD office located on Jalan Majapahit Samofa Biak Numfor.
