KUNINGAN - Head of the Mount Ciremai National Park Center (BTNGC) of Kuningan Regency, West Java, Teguh Setiawan said joint officers were able to control the fire in the Mount Ciremai forest area. "Alhamdulillah, many volunteers joined in extinguishing the fire, so that the fire can be controlled, and we are still monitoring it," he said. Teguh added that he did not know for sure the area of the burned land, because the location on the fire was feared to be coal, so it needed to be completed first. "The broad measurement will be carried out after the blackout is completed and it is clear that no more fire coal is burning," he said. Teguh said the tools used to extinguish the fire started from the manual method, namely using gepyok, shovels, and hoes, there were also jet shooters, spraying machines and hoses. In addition, fire engines belonging to the Kuningan Regency Fire Department were deployed, especially for points that vehicles could pass.
