Truck Loss Of Control Hits Tree At Simpang Ngemplak Salatiga, Overturns And Kills 2 Motorcyclists

SALATIGA - Two motorcycle riders died in a traffic accident involving a container truck at Simpang Ngemplak, Salatiga City Ring Road, Central Java, Wednesday, July 20.

Head of the Traffic Unit Accident Unit of the Salatiga Police, Ipda Meisal, explained that the two victims died as a result of being hit by a truck that overturned due to suspected loss of control.

The unfortunate incident itself began when the truck numbered L 8596 UQ was speeding along the Salatiga City Ring Road from Solo to Semarang.

When it arrived at the location, it was suspected that the truck lost control and crashed into two trees, before eventually overturning.

"At the same time, there was a motorcycle next to the truck," he said, quoted from Antara. According to him, it was suspected that the truck had problems with the brakes.

"The truck driver allegedly tried to swerve and hit a tree," he said.

The two victims who died in the incident were then taken to the Salatiga City Regional Hospital.

As a result of the accident, there was a long line of vehicles following the evacuation process carried out by officers.

The police had carried out traffic engineering on the Salatiga City Ring Road to break down congestion.
