Agree That The Coalition, PKB And Gerindra Will Carry Prabowo-Cak Imin?

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) has agreed to build a coalition with the Gerindra Party for the 2024 presidential election. The party coalition led by Prabowo Subianto and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) is called the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition. So, will this coalition carry the Prabowo-Cak Imin pair? Responding to this, the Chairman of the PKB DPP, Lukmanul Hakim, stated that his party had not discussed the figures of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates to be promoted. Currently, he said, PKB was socializing the coalition agreement with Gerindra to the board of directors down to the lowest level.

"The name of the coalition is not like matchmaking, it does not only concern the bride, but also the extended family. Moreover, these are two large parties, the carriages are very large. Therefore, it takes steps to be accepted by the entire large family of PKB and Gerindra," said Khakim, Friday, July 1st.

The socialization, continued Khakim, also introduced Prabowo and Cak Imin. The hope is that all PKB and Gerindra cadres can agree on the duo.

"In various forums, both jointly and separately, the acceptance of the names of Mr. Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin as candidates for the 2024 leader was very well received, all of them matched the duet of these two figures, with the hope of bringing Indonesia's future more forward, more better, and more prosperous," he said.

He is also optimistic that the coalition formed by PKB and Gerindra has a chance to win in 2024. Because according to Khakim, PKB has experience in winning against the candidates it carries.

"PKB has had good presidential election experience, almost all presidential candidates supported by PKB have always won, armed with combat experience in previous elections, PKB's capital to win the 2024 presidential election also has a big chance," he concluded. As is known, the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB) held another meeting called the National Gathering in the Kwitang area, Senen, Central Jakarta, Thursday, June 30, evening. This national gathering is a continuation of the meeting between the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and the General Chairperson of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) in Kertanegara some time ago. It is hoped that the two parties will become more familiar with themselves and lead to a cooperation agreement.

"This is a continuation to familiarize the Gerindra party and PKB at the provincial and DPD levels. We call it DPD, PKB call it DPW," said Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani after the meeting, Thursday, June 30.

Muzani said there were no obstacles in the efforts of his party to cooperate with PKB.

"Everyone has the same perception. Because of that, we feel like we have friends, we get the spirit," he said.

"Anyway, we are currently formulating a future Indonesia in the 2024 election, so that the cooperation between PKB, the relationship between PKB and Gerindra, which is currently being initiated at the provincial level, can be effective in achieving victory," continued Muzani.

On the same occasion, Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid said this gathering continued the communication that had been carried out by the general chairmen. Thus, the cooperation that exists between the two parties can be accepted down to the bottom. Cooperation from the bottom up, continued Jazilul, is needed because these two parties want to win the 2024 General Election.

"If you mention the coalition, of course in the end you want to win. Well, if you have a match or get married, you end up having children. In the end, the coalition must want to win," he said.

"So don't think this is tahlilan. This is a forum for friendship. In politics it's called a coalition," added Jazilul.
