MEDAN - A year ahead of the leadership of the Mayor of Medan-Deputy Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution-Aulia Rachman, many breakthroughs have been made. Especially for illegal levies (extortion) which infuriate the residents, Bobby Nasution firmly immediately removed the officials who acted.

Most recently, Bobby Nasution, President Jokowi's son-in-law, removed the Head of Environment (Kepling) VIII Pulo Brayan Bengkel Village, East Medan District named Sulistyo.

This Kepling has the heart to ask for money from a resident named Ian who wants to take care of his family's KK and KTP. With the excuse that there was no data in the Disdukcapil, Kepling asked for Rp. 1.7 million to complete the business.

A resident named Ian admitted that he had paid twice so that his KK and KTP were in order. First R 1 million then Rp 700 thousand.

"It was handled in August 2021, sir. I only dared to report now after I read the news on social media. I dared to report it to your IG DM. Thank God, I immediately responded. Thank you for your attention, Mr. Wali," said Ian, who sent a DM with video evidence to Bobby Nasution, Tuesday , January 11th.

"Yes, I read your DM. I saw it directly. Now it's easy for residents to report. No more extortion, I always tell you this, there are still extortionists. Rp. 1.7 million is big, sorry for the people," said Bobby Nasution advise the coupling.

Not wanting something like this to happen again, Bobby Nasution asked Kepling to return the Rp1.7 million tomorrow.

"Please escort this tomorrow, Mr. Lurah. If this is not paid, the victim will accompany the police report. Mr. Kepling has violated the law," continued Bobby Nasution.

Bobby said he was responding to residents' reports via DM with valid evidence. Bobby also ordered the District Head of East Medan Alfi Pane to replace Kepling.

"It costs nothing to handle letters, that's the government's service to the community. It has to be removed because I have said many times that there should be no extortion and corruption will be violated again," said Bobby Nasution.

The removal of Kepling is not a firm action recently taken by Bobby Nasution. Bobby had previously removed Kepling in Medan.

On May 18, 2021, Bobby Nasution asked the Lurah of Harjosari II, Medan Amplas to remove Kepling. The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, was furious to see Kepling's behavior. He couldn't believe that there were still quotes from residents who wanted to take care of administrative documents.

To the Camat and Lurah, Bobby asked for the chip to be replaced. Bobby also requested that the public money quoted be returned.

"We say this is a disease that must be cured other than COVID. It has been a long time, we continue to try. This afternoon I have coordinated with the saber of extortion. Here we find people who take care of KK, birth certificates for up to a year, pay for that too. up to Rp. 500 thousand, even though there is no charge at all," he said.

Meanwhile, on 12 September 2021, Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution found another case of illegal levies (pungli) by the head of the environment (kepling). This time, residents of Bantan Village, Medan Tembung, complained about the extortion they experienced.

“The old disease still occurs in Bantan Village, Medan Tembung District. While conducting a drainage review, I received complaints from local residents regarding illegal levies carried out by the VI Head of Environment," said Bobby Nasution, quoted from the bobbynst Instagram account, Sunday, September 12.

According to Bobby Nasution, currently there are 40 residents who have officially reported it by letter. However, there is still no response regarding the extortion carried out by the VI Environmental Protection Unit.

The removal was carried out in relation to residents' complaints following the request for a certain amount of money when processing a Business Certificate (SKU) which was very much needed as one of the requirements to be able to get direct cash assistance for micro, small and medium enterprises (BLT UMKM) from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises ( Minister of Cooperatives & SMEs).
