COVID-19 Update As Of November 1st: New Cases 403, Active Cases 11,919

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 203,816 specimens were examined with the result that there were 403 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,244,761 people and active cases of 11,919," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, November 1.

Today's recovered cases increased by 784 cases, bringing the total to 4,089,419 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 18 people and a total of 143,423 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 83 cases and a total of 861,623 cases. Followed by Central Java with 65 new cases with a total of 485,175 cases. West Java with 46 new cases and a total of 705,875 cases. Then, East Java with 38 new cases and a total of 398,306 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to North Sumatra with an additional 105 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 99 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 74 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 57 recovered cases.

There are six provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Jambi, South Sumatra, Riau Islands, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and North Maluku. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 46,930,288.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.40 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 4,003 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 120,052,587 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 74,088,927 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,138,188. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
