Manado SAR Evacuates A Resident Who Is Stuck In A Well With A Depth Of 15 Meters
JAKARTA - The Manado SAR team, North Sulawesi, evacuated a resident who had fallen in a well at a depth of about 15 meters, in a state of death.
Head of Operations Section of the Manado Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) Jandry S Paendong, in Manado, Sunday, said on Saturday, October 30 at around 11:15 pm his party received reports that there had been dangers to human lives.
"A resident at Perum Lestari fell into a well, it is known that the victim is Humala Siahaan, 59 years old, the address is Malalayang Neighborhood 1 Manado," he said.
He said from the testimony of Rival's witnesses, local residents, that the victim had just bought land there and there were lots of thick grass plants.
The victim intended to clean the grass in his newly purchased garden, but the victim did not know that in the garden there were three unused wells dug.
So that when the victim was cleaning the grass the victim fell into a well with a depth of about 15 meters.
The joint SAR team of Basarnas, TNI, Polri, PMI, and the local community during the evacuation process were worried because the ground was very unstable and the wells were very close together.
The Basarnas team then developed a system using a special tripod that made it easier to pull out victims.
In evacuating, the Basarnas team found it difficult, because the well was very narrow, stuffy and it was estimated that there was toxic gas.
