2 University of North Sumatra Lecturers Enter The List Of Most Influential Scientists In The World

MEDAN - Two lecturers from the University of North Sumatra (USU), namely Prof. Dr. Eng Himsar Ambarita ST, MT and Prof. Drs Mahyudin M.IT, Ph.D. are included in the list of the two most influential scientists in the world whose data was published by Elsevier BV and Stanford University.

USU Chancellor Muryanto Amin responded with joy to this achievement. The inclusion of USU lecturers in the ranking of the two percent list of the most influential scientists in the world will be able to open wider doors for USU to achieve its goal of becoming an international standard university.

"I congratulate the two USU lecturers and thank them for all their dedication and contribution to the advancement of science and technology as well as pushing USU's progress to the international stage", he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 29.

The Chancellor hopes that this achievement can be further improved and followed by other USU lecturers so that it will have a positive impact on improving USU's reputation in international rankings.

Meanwhile, the release of the database update as of October 20, 2021, contains 58 Indonesian-affiliated scientists who are listed in the single year category, Prof. Dr. Eng Himsar Ambarita ST, MT, who is a USU Professor from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering. 44th place on the list.

Also accompanying him are Prof. Drs. Mahyuddin, M.IT, Ph.D. who is also a Professor from the IT Faculty, which is in the 58th position.

Prof. Himsar Barita admitted that he was very grateful and motivated to do more useful research, especially technology-based research that has contributed to making it easier for humans to carry out social and economic functions.
