Sad News From Bangka Belitung, Three Residents Of Pangkalpinang And West Bangka Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that three more COVID-19 patients died. The total number of people who have died from the coronavirus is now 1.443.

"Today, three patients have died and have been buried according to strict health protocols," said Secretary of the Babel Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Mikron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, Friday, October 29, as reported by Antara.

He explained that based on the latest data, the addition of three patients who died from COVID-19 was in Pangkalpinang City 2 and West Bangka Regency, one patient. While other districts have no cases of death due to this coronavirus.

Meanwhile, cases of people exposed to COVID-19 also increased by 15 with a cumulative 51.962 people spread across Central Bangka 5, West Bangka 2, East Belitung 4, West Bangka 1, and Pangkalpinang 2 people.

Patients recovered from COVID-19 also increased by 21 people with a cumulative 50.365 people spread across Pangkalpinang 7, South Bangka 7, West Bangka 2, Belitung 3, Central Bangka 1, and East Belitung 1 person.

"With this increase in recovered patients, the number of people exposed to COVID-19 who are still undergoing isolation at a referral hospital, integrated and independent isolation is reduced to 154 people," he said.

According to him, the handling of bodies exposed to COVID-19 is carried out with strict health protocols, to prevent transmission of the virus.

"Thank God, so far the handling of the deceased patient has gone smoothly and there has been no rejection of the family in handling the corpse by the task force team," he said.
