Pluit Reservoir Park, The Heritage Of Jokowi-Ahok Is Now Abandoned, Deputy Governor Riza Patria Promises To Budget For Maintenance

JAKARTA - The condition of Pluit Reservoir Park has recently been highlighted. The heritage park of Joko Widodo and Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) while serving as Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI is now abandoned.

Currently, a number of facilities have begun to be damaged and are not intact. The paint on the sports facilities has also started to peel and rust. There was also a pile of garbage in the arena.

Responding to this, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that the abandonment of Pluit Reservoir Park was due to the process of transferring management between the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government.

"Pluit Park was previously managed by Jakpro, then handed over to the assets section of the BPAD (Regional Asset Management Agency), then handed over to the City Parks and Forest Service," Riza told reporters, Thursday, October 28.

However, Riza promised that his party would carry out maintenance of Pluit Reservoir Park. In the preparation of the regional budget (APBD) for the 2022 budget year, DKI will include its budget.

"Therefore, the submission is new, not long ago so it has not been budgeted for. Later, in the future, we will budget for maintenance, cleanliness, tidying of reservoirs and others in 2022," said Riza.

For information, social media activist Yusuf Muhammad highlighted the current condition of the Pluit Reservoir Park which was concerning. Pluit Reservoir Park itself is the legacy of former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok during its inauguration.

However, the situation is now worrying. In addition to looking shabby, there is also a lot of garbage scattered about. Yusuf Muhammad then said that Pluit Reservoir Park had become a source of pride.

"Pluit Reservoir Park, Jakarta, the condition is getting worse. The park looks rundown and there is a lot of garbage scattered about," Yusuf Muhammad tweeted on his Twitter account, Tuesday, October 26.

He then satirized the condition of the park under the leadership of the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan, which was full of garbage. Yusuf even said that the citizens of Jakarta made a fatal decision when choosing Anies as the number one person in DKI.

"It used to be a pride, now in the era of the governor, Pluit Reservoir Park is full of garbage. Jakarta has made a fatal decision!" said Yusuf Muhammad.
