Deputy Governor Riza Calls TransJakarta Driver A Suspect, Police Open Possibility Even Though There Is No Strong Evidence

JAKARTA - The police have not ruled out the possibility of naming the driver with the initials J as a suspect in the accident of two TransJakarta buses. However, so far there has been no solid evidence to establish a suspect.

"Yes, it's a suspicion, but there is no solid evidence yet, there may be potential if there is negligence. We haven't concluded anything yet," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Law Enforcement of Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Argo Wiyono to reporters when confirmed, Wednesday, October 27.

So far, said Argo, there are still many factors that lead to certain assumptions. For example, the fatigue factor from the driver to the work mechanism system of TransJakarta.

Therefore, the main cause of the accident has not been determined. The examination of witnesses is still ongoing.

"We haven't been able to determine the main reason why we are still collecting to strengthen the results from the TAA Korlantas," said Argo.
