How To Activate The Multi-Device Feature So You Can Still Use WhatsApp Even If Your Phone Is Low On Battery

YOGYAKARTA - WhatsApp has a "Multi Device" feature that allows users to continue using the application, even though the main cellphone used is not active, or in a low battery state.

In general, the WhatsApp application can only be used when the user's cellphone is turned on. In fact, when you use WhatsApp Web, if the main phone is in an inactive state then your WhatsApp application cannot be used.

However, with the addition of the "Multi Device" feature, WhatsApp users can still send messages or make phone calls using your WhatsApp account, even if your phone is inactive.

You can do this by using WhatsApp Web on a laptop or computer that you have connected to the WhatsApp account on the user's cellphone. In addition, you must first enable the "Multi Device" feature.

Unfortunately, this feature is not widely known by WhatsApp users. In fact, with "Multi Device" you don't have to worry about not being able to use WhatsApp when your phone runs out of power or low battery.

But, you don't need to worry because in this article the VOI team has prepared the steps you can take to activate the "Multi Device" feature on your WhatsApp account.

How to Activate the Multi-Device Feature on WhatsApp

To activate the "Multi Device" feature, the first step you can do is open the WhatsApp application on your smartphone.

Next, press the "More" button in the form of the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of your WhatsApp application. Select the "Linked Device" menu and scroll down.

In the list of available menu columns, there is a "Multi-Device Beta" menu that you can choose from. Next, you can click the "Join Beta" option, and then you can open WhatsApp Web in a browser, via a laptop or computer.

Next, you can scan the "QR Code" that appears, just like when you first open WhatsApp Web. After performing the scan, you can use WhatsApp Web in your browser as usual.

After activating the "Multi Device" feature in the WhatsApp application on your phone and scanning the "QR Code" in the browser, users can use WhatsApp even if your phone is inactive.

It will also make it easier for you to use WhatsApp whether your phone is on or off. However, to be able to use a WhatsApp account on another device, you must first link it on that device using the "Multi Device" feature.

That's the way you can do to still be able to use WhatsApp even though your phone is inactive, or low battery.
