Cool! Huawei Can Live Without Support From US Tech Companies
JAKARTA – Currently, Huawei is no longer dependent on technology giant companies from the United States, one of which is Google Android. The reason is that Huawei has succeeded in developing its own operating system, HarmonyOS. It was designed after the administration of former President Donald Trump blacklisted Huawei for threatening national defense.
The policy caused Huawei to be cut off from its global business environment. A number of technology companies from the US can no longer support the Chinese company. But Huawei has risen from adversity and is back to dominate the domestic market.
One of Huawei's Executive Member Richard Yu Chengdong revealed on his Weibo account that HarmonyOS has been used by more than 150 devices.
"Over the past three years, millions of system developers and ecological partners have worked with us, riding the wind and waves," said Richard Yu Chengdong as quoted by the Global Times on Monday, October 25, 2021.
“Now we are not only gathering 150 million devices using HarmonyOS, but also building a dynamic and rapidly growing HarmonyOS ecosystem,” said Richard Yu. “HarmonyOS, we did it!”

In 2019, the US blacklisted Huawei and could no longer use Google's Android operating system. Then Huawei is rumored to be swerving to develop livestock. In fact, Huawei is secretly designing its own operating system called HarmonyOS.
Recently, the company was reported to have released the latest version of HarmonyOS-3 with various latest developments and updates. Huawei has also launched the HMS Core-6 system.
HarmonyOS or commonly referred to as HongmengOS locally can be used as an operating system for various devices such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and a number of other devices.
"This operating system is indeed developing very quickly, but it may be too early to claim success at the current stage, and I prefer to call it gradual success," Yu said.
Huawei is targeting around 200 million devices by the end of this year to use HarmonyOS. Huawei has reportedly poured 50 billion yuan into the development of HarmonyOS and HMS. Even so, Huawei took a long time to outperform Google Android and Apple iOS.
