Good News From Bangka Belitung, Three Districts With Zero COVID-19 Cases
PANGKALPINANG - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that three of the seven regencies/cities had zero confirmed cases of COVID-19. This has accelerated the efforts of local governments in realizing Babel zero for the spread of the coronavirus.
"Today, the daily cases of confirmed COVID-19 cases have only increased by 6, spread across four districts," Secretary of the Babel Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force Micron Antariksa in Pangkalpinang, Friday, October 22.
He explained that based on the latest data, the addition of 6 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with a cumulative 51.874 cases spread across Bangka, Central Bangka, West Bangka with one case each and East Belitung three cases.
Meanwhile, in the cities of Pangkalpinang, South Bangka, and Belitung, there were no cases of people exposed to the coronavirus.
"We hope that even though COVID-19 cases are getting sloping, people will remain disciplined in obeying health protocols and immediately following vaccinations," he said.

He said the recovered COVID-19 patients also increased by 20 people with a cumulative 50.192 people spread in Pangkalpinang 6, Central Bangka 6, West Bangka 2, Belitung 5, and East Belitung 1 person.
"Today, one patient died from COVID-19 in South Bangka," he said.
He said there were 25.477 suspected COVID-19 cases, 50.805 close contacts, 35 probable cases, 39 probable deaths.
"We, together with the National Armed Force (TNI)/National Police (Polri) and sub-districts, are intensifying this suspect status, because it has the potential to trigger an increase in cases of transmission and spread of the coronavirus," he said as quoted by Antara.
