Want To Standardize Case Handling Allowances, Bappenas Holds Discussions With KPK

JAKARTA - The government plans to evenly distribute remuneration or allowances for law enforcement in handling cases. This was revealed from the results of a meeting between Bappenas and the Indonesian KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) which was held today or Thursday, October 21.

"We want to standardize the related remuneration for law enforcers", said the Minister for National Development Planning or the National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa.

He said that the discussion on remuneration was actually not the first time that the government and the KPK had even carried out this discussion for some time. However, the two sides have not found a bright spot in this regard.

In addition, this discussion was also carried out again with ministries/agencies including the prosecutor's office and the police. "But there are many things that need to be mutually agreed upon and then brought to the Ministry of Finance", said Suharso.

Furthermore, he said various discussions with certain schemes are still being discussed. However, he ensures that this remuneration will be more prosperous and easier when filing a claim.

"It must be more prosperous and then how to make a more reasonable claim", said the chairman of the Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP).

"If, for example, law enforcement officers eat in a restaurant, the restaurant doesn't have an NPWP, what about it? Then, for example, if he rides a motorcycle taxi, how can he ask for a signature. And so on, so we are looking for it, and it is being processed to make it even better", concluded Suharso.
