Jakarta Included In The Race Calendar, Formula E Organizers Want to Check 5 Circuit Locations
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that the Formula E organizing committee will review five alternative locations proposed as circuits. He did not explain exactly when the review will take place, but it is certain that this month the location of the circuit will be decided.
"There are five alternatives (circuits, red) waiting for the process. Technically, it will be reviewed from the Formula E delegates, God willing, it will be decided," Riza told reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, October 17.
After the review is carried out, the committee team will determine the location of the car racing in accordance with the criteria and conditions set.
"We'll just wait according to the conditions that have been determined," said Riza.
He hopes that the five locations can meet the existing terms and conditions. So, Formula E can be held in June 2022 in DKI Jakarta.
"The terms and commitments have been fulfilled and God willing, in 2022 in June it will be held in Jakarta," he said.
"I don't want to go ahead, I'll just have to wait because it has to be reviewed and checked first," added Riza.

The Chief Championship Officer and Co-founder of Formula E, Alberto Longo, in a video caption, congratulated the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
Longo said Anies had succeeded in realizing the Jakarta Langit Biru program for the purpose of clean air through the Formula E event.
"Governor Anies sent a message that shifting private vehicles to public transportation and promoting the use of electric cars is one of several steps that will be taken. This is a cross-generational effort, and Formula E will help to embrace the participation of the younger generation and millennials," Longo said, as quoted by VOI, on Saturday, October 16th.
Longo considers Formula E in Jakarta or Jakarta E-Prix an important activity. He also appreciated President Jokowi's efforts to reduce Indonesia's dependence on conventional energy and switch to environmentally friendly energy, a philosophy that is in line with FEO's view.
"Especially in realizing this philosophy and to take advantage of the global electric car trend, President Joko Widodo plans to make Indonesia a center for the production of electric cars and car batteries," said Longo.
