PSS Sleman Supporters Desperate To Convoy To Solo, Immediately Disbanded By Surakarta Police Chief Grand Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak

SOLO - A total of 900 PSS Sleman, Slemania supporters were desperate to convoy to Solo, Central Java. This supporter was secured by the Surakarta Police team.

These fans did not come to support PSS Sleman who was playing against Barito Putra who was competing in Liga 1. The match was held at the Manahan Stadium, Friday, October 15.

They came to Solo to meet with PSS Sleman's management regarding the club's internal problems, which are based at Maguwoharjo Stadium. Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said a total of 900 supporters were caught trying to enter Solo through two main doors, namely Tugu Makutha and Faroka. But the police immediately blocked their arrival.

"The main entrances to Solo Tugu Makutha and Faroka were observed that there was movement into the city, we immediately disbanded them," he said as quoted by ERA.id.

The Surakarta Police Chief said that at Tugu Makutha there were 600 supporters, while in Faroka it was estimated that as many as 300 supporters tried to enter. The police met resistance from supporters at the Makutha Monument by being pelted with stones.

"We were forced to fire tear gas to disperse the fans," said Ade Safri.

Some of the supporters who were secured by officers were taken to the Mako Dua or the Surakarta Police Satlantas Office. Police also secured 150 units of two-wheeled vehicles belonging to supporters.

"We will collect data on supporters and vehicles. If the vehicle is found to be incomplete, it will be subject to a ticket. If the vehicle is complete, we ask to return to Yogyakarta," said the Surakarta Police Chief.

Grand Commissioner Ade Safri Simanjuntak regretted this case because it disrupted the order and comfort of the city of Solo.

"If there are internal club problems and management solve them in their area of origin, don't bring them to Solo," he said.
