Boiled Water Then Buried In The Ground, How BNN Destroys Evidence Of Methamphetamine In Sandals

SERANG - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Banten Province destroyed evidence of 500 grams of methamphetamine, which was hidden by the perpetrators in sandals.

This shabu is destroyed by boiling water. Then, the boiled water is buried in the ground.

The head of the Banten BNNP, Brigadier General Hendri Marpaung, said the evidence for the methamphetamine was hidden in sandals on the soles of the feet.

"This is a new mode", he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 15.

Before the destruction, the methamphetamine was tested in a laboratory by the Biddokes of the Banten Police, to prove that the narcotic was methamphetamine. The destruction was carried out at the Banten BNNP office, in Serang.

From the suspect, said Hendri, confiscated evidence of shabu weighing 500.299 grams which were packaged in two packages. In one pair of black GATS brand sandals, there are two packages of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in clear plastic. To remove the methamphetamine package, officers had to disassemble it with scissors and a knife.

"At first glance, the sandals containing methamphetamine look like ordinary footwear. After they were dismantled, it was discovered that there was soap. There was one pair of sandals containing meth that we confiscated", he said.

Initially, officers arrested suspect S when he arrived from Medan at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminal.

"The arrests were made on September 13, 2021, at 12.15 WIB when they received information that someone would bring narcotics items of methamphetamine from Sumatra to Tangerang", he said.

Hendri said that the suspect came from Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra by bringing methamphetamine to Soetta Airport.

"From the results of the interrogation the methamphetamine came from Aceh but this will be sent to Banten and the suspect received a salary of Rp. 10 million", he explained.

The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"From the evidence of narcotics type methamphetamine weighing 500.299 grams, it can save 2,000 people for the next generation of the nation", said Hendri Marpaung.
