KPK Explores Alleged Corruption In Cooperation Between PT Antam And PT Loco Montrado, Case To Investigation Stage

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of corruption related to the cooperation between PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) and PT Loco Montrado regarding the management of metal anodes in 2017. This investigation has entered the investigation stage.

"Currently, the KPK is investigating a case of alleged corruption related to the cooperation in processing metal anodes between PT AT Tbk (Aneka Tambang) and PT LM (Loco Montrado) in 2017," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, October 13th.

However, the anti-corruption commission has not been able to fully explain the construction of the alleged corruption, including the suspects.

"We will convey this in detail when an attempt is made to forcefully arrest and detain the suspects," said Ali.

Even so, Ali said the KPK is currently completing and collecting the necessary evidence. This is the reason why investigators examined a number of witnesses and conducted searches in a number of places in Jakarta, Banten and West Kalimantan.

"KPK hopes that during the process of investigating this case, the community will participate in monitoring and supervising it,"

"We will always convey any developments to the public as a form of transparency in the performance of the KPK," said Ali.
