194 Schools In Central Jakarta Take Health Protocol Assessment To Hold Face-to-face Learning

JAKARTA - Head of the Central Jakarta Region II Education Sub-dept., Uripasih, said that since Monday, October 11, 2021, the number of schools holding face-to-face learning (PTM) stage IV has increased quite a lot. The total number of schools with PTM degrees reached 194 consisting of Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten, Elementary School, Junior High School, Senior High School, and Special School (SLB).

"Initially there were only 11 schools but there were additional 194 schools," said Uripasih when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, October 12.

Uripasih said the addition of the number of schools was stated in the Decree (SK) of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office No. 1033 of 2021.

"The school has passed the PTM assessment in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. If they pass the assessment, the school can already hold a PTM degree but still with the provisions of the COVID-19 health protocol (Prokes)," said Uripasih.

He further said that he had monitored several schools. Like in Adventist Kindergarten, there the learning process whether in class or students at home through zoom, all teaching is the same.

"All lesson menus, whether at school or students at home via zoom, are the same," he said. Regarding the rules for school entry hours in kindergarten, the number of students is limited. For example, there are 15 students, so each PTM in the class is only 5 students, while 10 other students study from home via zoom.

"They study every Monday, Wednesday, Friday with 2x30 minutes of study time," he said.

Meanwhile, elementary, middle, and high school students enter study every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students in grades 1 and 4 on Monday, students in grades 2 and 5 on Wednesday, while students in grades 3 and 6 on Friday.

"The number of students with the provisions of 50 percent for elementary, junior high, high school. While the study hours for elementary school 2x35 minutes, junior high school 3x35 minutes and there are three hours to 4 hours of study," he said.

All students who take part in PTM do not have a break and the school canteen is still not allowed to open. This is to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
