IM 57+ Institute Formed By Novel Baswedan And His Colleagues Is Ready To Cooperate With The KPK, These Are The Conditions
JAKARTA - Indonesia Calling (IM) 57+ Institute welcomes the intention of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to work together in efforts to eradicate violent crimes in the country. However, the institution formed by Novel Baswedan and the former employees of the anti-corruption commission gave conditions before the cooperation was carried out.
The requirement is that the KPK leadership must first implement the recommendations of the National Human Rights Commission and the Indonesian Ombudsman. The reason is that the two institutions have stated that there have been administrative violations and the human rights of employees in the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) process which is the reason they were expelled from the KPK.
"It is very possible for the KPK to cooperate with the IM57+ Institute. Maybe it can start with the KPK implementing the recommendations of the National Human Rights Commission and the Ombudsman for the arbitrary dismissal of 58 KPK employees," said former KPK employee Praswad Nugraha to reporters quoted Monday, October 11.
In addition, he also asked the KPK to provide constitutional rights owned by former employees. "Based on Article 1 Paragraph 6 of Law 19 of 2019 we must be appointed as ASN at the KPK. KPK employees are state civil servants as referred to in the legislation regarding the state civil apparatus," said Praswad.
Furthermore, he explained that the IM 57+ Institute, which is a forum for former KPK employees, will continue to work to eradicate corruption. In fact, Praswad said this institution will issue research works from their research results.
"In the near future, we will contribute research work as a result of research from colleagues from the IM57+ Institute," he said.
As previously reported, the KPK opened up opportunities to collaborate with the IM 57+ Institute formed by Novel Baswedan et al. This statement was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron.
Although he does not understand the purpose of establishing this institution, according to him, the possibility of this collaboration is open if they have the same vision and mission as the anti-corruption commission, namely eradicating corruption.
"I don't understand what the orientation or motivation of my friends is for establishing the IM 57+ Institute. Once again, what is clear is that the KPK will continue to eradicate corruption in collaboration with all levels of society, including with anyone possible with the IM 57+ Institute," Ghufron told reporters. , Friday, October 8th.
However, they must have the same attitude in efforts to eradicate corrupt practices in the country. "If indeed the commitment and institutional orientation is to eradicate corruption, the KPK will certainly be open to collaborating with anyone," said Ghufron.
