New Johan's Brawl Linked To Drug Trafficking, Police: Haven't Found This Fact
JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police said that the brawl incident in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta did not correlate with narcotics trafficking in the area.
"There is an assumption among the public that if a brawl occurs, it indicates that narcotics have entered. But until now, we Central Jakarta Metro Police, especially Johar Baru Police have not found this fact", said Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Setyo Koes Heriyanto, to VOI, Saturday, October 9th.
Furthermore, Setyo said that when they arrested the perpetrators of the brawl, the police found that they were indicated by narcotics. After a urine test, the perpetrators tested positive for narcotics consumption.
"The only fact we found was that the perpetrators of the crime of brawls, especially in Johar Baru, indicated that most of them were affected by narcotics after the narcotics test was carried out", he said.

Separately, the Head of the Johar Baru Police, Kompol Edison, claimed that the number of brawls in Johar Baru had decreased in recent months.
"The number of brawls has started to decline for several months. If drug cases go up and down, sometimes they go up and down. But in the meantime it has started to decline", said Commissioner Edison when confirmed.
According to the police chief, all brawlers arrested by the Johar Baru Police and indicated as drug users will be rehabilitated.
