Sad News From PON XX Papua, Chief Judge Of Paragliding Judge Win Salim Dies At Jayapura Hospital
JAYAPURA - Chairman of the Board of Judges for paragliding at the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON), Wim Salim, passed away on Friday, October 8 at around 23.40 WIT at the Jayapura City Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
Head of the Paragliding Organizing Committee, Tonny Ananda, said the deceased's body would be buried in Surabaya and departed using an airline at 14.30 WIT.
"To honor the deceased, the Daily Chair, General Secretary of PB PON Papua along with the ranks came to express condolences and pray together at the paragliding landing arena in the Entrop Crocodile Pond area", said Tonny as quoted by Antara, in Jayapura, Saturday, October 9.
According to him, the joint prayer was also carried out by athletes and paragliding officials as a form of final respect for the deceased before being flown to Surabaya.
"The last message from the deceased was that he wanted everyone to continue to be enthusiastic about completing the paragliding sport", said Tonny.

Therefore, he also hopes that all parties involved in the paragliding branch will continue to be enthusiastic about carrying out their duties and obligations.
"The deceased has shown his love for paragliding so that even though he is sick, he still shows his enthusiasm for young athletes", said Tonny.
He added that the deceased was a figure who always showed his best dedication to the sport of paragliding, and Tonny considered that other sportspeople should emulate that.
