Once Healthy, Bitcoin Slipped Back
JAKARTA - The Bitcoin price hike has received a positive response from investors in the last few days. However this afternoon, the cryptocurrency slipped slightly at the close of trading.
Quoting Coindesk, at 17.55 WIB, the Bitcoin (BTC) exchange rate had corrected negative 0.09 percent in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the price of Bitcoin for the Indonesian market was still stagnant at the level of Rp136.68 million per coin.
Based on the cryptocurrency market index traded today, Bitcoin is stuck at around 9,371 US dollars per coin. With the last 10-day moving average at the level of 9,149 US dollars.
"Bitcoin is starting to wake up and bounce back on the market, with the figure strengthening at the level of $ 9,600," said Rupert Douglas, head of institutional sales at London-based crypto brokerage Koine.
With the trend of global equities also showing strength, the cryptocurrency price range is monitoring positive. "Bitcoin appears to be quite correlated with equity at the moment," he added.
The Ethereum-powered decentralized exchange Curve Finance (DEX) saw huge growth in volume this past week. Curve, with a volume of 70 million US dollars over the past 24 hours, has overtaken DEX leader Uniswap at a time when decentralized finance (DeFi) heats up.
