Sri Mulyani's Subordinates Open Up The Papuan PON Budget, Reaching IDR 3.5 Trillion, The Ministry Of PUPR Gets The Largest Allotment

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance reported that the budget for the implementation and construction of the Papua National Sports Week (PON) venue reached IDR 3.53 trillion.

Budget Director for Human Development and Culture of the Ministry of Finance, Purwanto, said that the most distributed amount through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) amounted to IDR 1.74 trillion.

"This amount in PUPR has been given since 2018", he said in a virtual press conference, Friday, October 8.

In detail, Purwanto said that in 2018 IDR 58.5 billion was issued. Then, in a row, in 2019 it was IDR 742.3 billion, in 2020 it was IDR 774.4 billion, and in 2021 it was IDR 172.5 billion.

"PUPR has used it to build various facilities or match venues, such as the construction of an aquatic arena of IDR 409 billion, the construction of the Istora Papua IDR 284 billion, a cricket and hockey arena of IDR 294 billion, Harapan village of IDR 151 billion, to building a drainage and sanitation system of IDR 4.8 billion each and IDR 6.4 billion", he said.

In addition to the establishment of sports arenas, the Ministry of PUPR, called Purwanto guard, carried out the construction of several supporting infrastructures, including the construction of strategic road access, construction of flood control facilities around the PON arena, and construction of security facilities.

Furthermore, Sri Mulyani's subordinates also explained that several ministries and institutions were also recipients of the state budget to support the Papua PON event, namely Ministry of Youth and Sports IDR 1.22 trillion, Ministry of Transportation IDR 481.3 billion, TVRI is IDR 31.7 billion.

Then, the Ministry of Health IDR 24.6 billion, Ministry of Communication and Information IDR 20 billion, RRI IDR 3.8 billion, and BPKP and the Ministry of Tourism IDR 1.4 billion.
