Afraid Of Making A Wrong Step And Get Caught In Corruption, SOE PT Bukit Asam Comes To KPK

JAKARTA - The Board of Directors of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) PT Bukit Asam visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday, October 6. They came to agree on several things related to improving governance in order to create a clean corporation.

The meeting was attended by the President Director of PT. Bukit Asam Suryo Eko Hadianto and related directors. They were received by KPK elder Firli Bahuri, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Lili Pintauli Siregar, and the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan along with the ranks of the KPK Monitoring Directorate.

"Through this visit, we want our company to be clean and to get directions from the KPK so that we don't take wrong steps," Suryo said at the meeting.

He said there are a number of things that have been done by his party to prevent the practice of racism. One of them is implementing a Whistleblowing System (WBS) through various media.

Not only that, but PT Bukit Asam also continues to implement assistance related to company assets even though there are still unresolved issues.

Regarding this asset, the Chairman of the KPK Firli Bahuri reminded this state-owned company to provide the maximum benefit for the welfare of the community. He emphasized that the anti-corruption commission will help PT Bukit Asam to optimize asset utilization, including controlling and resolving asset disputes.

In addition, during this meeting, it was also agreed that the KPK would conduct a study related to the utilization of PT Bukit Asam. Not only that, but the KPK will also sit down with the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) on related regulations.
