JAKARTA - The police have named 22 suspects in the clashes in Yahukimo, Papua. As a result of the attack, 6 people died.

"Investigators have followed up on the case and have named 22 suspects in the Yahukimo case," said Head of Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, Wednesday, October 6.

According to him, the 22 suspects were involved in the attack on the church. They do violence.

"Everything is still being investigated, indeed the police initially indicated that the cause of the riot was the death of Abock Busup who died in Jakarta, this case is still being investigated and 22 suspects," added Brigadier General Rusdi.

The National Police emphasized that there may be additional suspects in the further investigation process.

"The possibility of increasing the number of suspects is quite large because the case is still being investigated. Meanwhile, 22 people have been named as suspects. Hopefully, all the efforts made by the apparatus there can restore the security and order situation in Yahukimo Regency," he said.
