Observer: Temperamental, Risma Is Not Suitable To Be A National Leader

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, once again displayed an angry demonstration during a meeting with a number of officials in Gorontalo, Thursday, September 30. In fact, to the point of making the Governor of Gorontalo, Rusli Habibie, feel offended.

For his temperament, Indostrategic Executive Director Ahmad Khoirul Imam assessed that Risma was not suitable for national political leadership.

"Social Minister Risma's communication style, which is erratic, unpredictable, explosive, prone to anger, is not suitable to be brought into the national political leadership," said Imam in Jakarta, Monday, October 4.

Because according to him, instead of being firm but the angry style of the PDIP Party minister, it actually shows the selfishness of a leader with all her arrogance in political work.

"As a leader, an expression of anger is sometimes needed to confirm attitudes, positions, and policy directions. However, if the attitude is carried out it is only to show the ego of a leader," said Imam.

Risma, he said, should be able to give a firm and measured statement without pointing fingers and humiliating others. Because, as a minister that attitude is inappropriate.

"Assertive doesn't have to be harsh. Firmness can also be shown without anger," explained Imam.

In addition, he continued, people may not like anger which is considered a symbol of assertiveness. The reason, Risma is not only once or twice angry in public.

"On the contrary, repeated excessive anger has the potential to be seen as a form of arrogance from the drama queen, which has recently begun to appear in the public opinion space," concluded Khoirul Imam.
