Involved In Illegal Transactions, 2 Housewives In South Kalimantan Must Deal With Police

JAKARTA - The South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Regional Police arrested two housewives for distributing 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Banjarmasin.

"Two suspects with the initials NH (31) and WR (37) are part of a network, each of which was arrested in a separate location," said Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the South Kalimantan Police's Narcotics Directorate, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Niko Irawan in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, October 3.

The disclosure of the illicit drug business that the two of them run started from public information which was followed up by the police.

The Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Kalimantan Police conducted an investigation by monitoring the movements of women who were strongly suspected of frequently transacting meth sales.

Until Friday, October 1 last morning, the suspect NH was seen by officers with suspicious movements when entering the yard of a house on Alalak Selatan Street, Banjarmasin City.

"We found a package of methamphetamine weighing 101.68 grams which was placed in a shoe on the terrace of the house," said Niko.

Then the results of the development, NH admitted that there was another package of 101.55 grams of methamphetamine that was deposited with WR. The officers moved quickly to arrest WR, on Zafri Zam Zam Street, Banjarmasin City.

"The two suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2), subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Meanwhile, the network of dealers controlling them is still being investigated," said Niko representing the Director of Drug Investigation at the South Kalimantan Police, Grand Commissioner of Police Tri Wahyudi.
