Jokowi's Schedule Today, Accompanied By Puan, Bahlil Etc. Heading To Merauke Papua To Inaugurate A Number Of Infrastructures And Review Vaccinations

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for Merauke Regency, Papua, Sunday, October 3, to inaugurate a number of infrastructures and review the COVID-19 vaccination.

Quoted from Antara, with a limited entourage, the President took off from Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency using the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft, Sunday morning, according to a written statement from the Press and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat.

Upon arrival in Merauke Regency, the President will inaugurate the new terminal of Mopah Airport by signing an inscription as a sign of inauguration.

After that, the President will continue his trip to Sota District by using the Super Puma helicopter of the Indonesian Air Force. There the President will inaugurate the Sota State Border Post (PLBN), Merauke Regency.

On the next agenda, the President will go to the Merauke Regent's Office to review the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination for the community and students. The President is also scheduled to inaugurate the General National Armed Forces (TNI) LB Moerdani Hospital, Margamulya District, Merauke Regency.

Accompanying the President on the flight to Merauke were the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Puan Maharani, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Investment/Head of Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, and Military Secretary of the President Marsda TNI M. Tonny Harjono.

Also attending were the Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Bey Machmudin, Special Staff to the President Billy Mambrasar, Military Area Command (Pangdam) XVII/Cenderawasih Major General TNI Ignatius Yogo Triyono, and the Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius D. Fakhiri.

Those who let go of the President's departure at Sentani Airport include the National Police, Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Pangkogabwilhan III Lt. Gen. Jeffry Apoly Rahawarin, Pangkoopsau III Marsda TNI Samsul Rizal, and Pangkoarmada III Admiral TNI Irvansyah.
