Listening To Papuan Song Asai Bori Yambe Yoper, Jokowi Dances While Applauding
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was dancing while clapping his hands when he heard the song Asai Bori Yambe Yoper. This moment was recorded when he attended the opening ceremony of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Jayapura, Papua on Saturday, September 2.
Monitored through a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Jokowi, wearing a red and white PON XX Papua jacket, was initially cool to watch the contingent parade competing in the event. At the end of the parade, the host Papuan contingent entered the stadium to the accompaniment of the lively Asai Bori Yambe Yoper song.
All the invitees and guests who attended the event then applauded. President Jokowi is no exception.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta seemed to nod his head while clapping his hands. His face was also happy even though it was covered by a brown mask.

Moreover, based on reports from the Regional Military Commander and Regional Police Chief, many sports have started competing since September 22. Mahfud said all these activities went smoothly considering that layered security had been carried out.
"God willing, from a security point of view, everything has been anticipated in layers but peacefully, it's not scary. It's not that scary, because this is a sports party", Mahfud said in a written statement.
Mahfud advised the security forces to work optimally so that the PON can be opened smoothly, safely, and according to health protocols. Because President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will be present at the event. As for the community, he asked them to continue to support the sporting events.
