BEM SI Held Protest On Employee Dismissal, KPK: We Don't Want To Be Dynamic In Responding To This Issue
JAKARTA - Acting Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said his party did not want to respond to the issue of dismissing 57 employees after being declared failed in the National Insight Test (TWK).
Ali said that his party chose to focus on doing their job, namely eradicating corruption rather than continuing to debate about the tests that were a requirement for the transfer of employee status to State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
"Regarding the mass action that took place this afternoon at the KPK. We convey that the KPK remains focused on corruption eradication work, so we don't want to be dynamic in responding to this issue," Ali told reporters, Monday, September 27.
The KPK, said Ali, continues to listen to suggestions and input from the public, including the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board Alliance (BEM SI), which rallied today or Monday, September 27 at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
However, the work to eradicate corruption must continue because the method used is not only to arrest the perpetrators to create various improvements but also how to instill anti-corruption values in the community.
"KPK always listens to suggestions and input from fellow students. As learners, we believe that fellow students can see the facts clearly and are able to elaborate them in concrete ideas and actions," said Ali.
Furthermore, he also asked the public not to be easily provoked by counterproductive things that interfere with their performance. "Because of the challenges and tasks of eradicating corruption in the future, we still have a lot to do," said Ali.
"Solidity and synergy of the parties are important to realize our common hope, a prosperous and prosperous Indonesian society," he added.
