Three Reliable Analysts Say The IPhone 14 Will Be A Phone With Apple's Big Design Changes

JAKARTA - Apple recently launched the iPhone 13 series, and it looks like this model will be the last phone to have an edge-to-edge (bezeless) design, first adopted by the iPhone X series.

The iPhone X product itself is Apple's first smartphone that carries an edge-to-edge design and has a notch, and presents a dual-camera configuration in a vertical arrangement.

According to leaked Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, as quoted by 9to5Mac, Monday, September 27, Apple fans can expect new entry-level and Pro models and a complete redesign for the iPhone 14, as minor changes this year also mean that Apple engineers are working on the new iPhone 14. behind on bigger things, and it will take more time.

This isn't the first time rumors that Apple will introduce a complete redesign for the iPhone 14 line have surfaced. Previously, reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that Apple will start a new buzz in 2022, starting with the high-end iPhone 14 Pro.

Kuo describes the design change for the new iPhone as a punch-hole design, lowering the screen notch completely, and using a punch-hole front camera like most Android phones on the market today.

Besides Kuo, there is also YouTuber and leaker Jon Prosser who reinforces the punch-hole design. He claims to have seen real images of the iPhone 14 Pro Max without the notch. The new model is expected to resemble the large iPhone 4 with a titanium outer ring like a band, a flat rear camera, and a thicker chassis.

About the lineup, Apple is reportedly ditching the iPhone mini and focusing on the new iPhone 14 Max, so the lineup will feature the regular iPhone, the Max model, and two Pro versions.

Apple is also known to be working on an under-display Touch ID. Kuo reports that Apple is working on this technology but it is not yet clear if it will be ready in time for the 2022 iPhone lineup. Kuo recently stated that it will be a feature in the iPhone 2023, while in 2024 Apple will finally introduce a foldable device.

Talking about the foldable iPhone, Gurman said Apple is developing its own foldable device which could launch in the next few years, this statement confirms what Kuo also said.

However, these are just rumors, and there is still a chance that Apple could make substantial changes before locking the design into production. Whatever the end result, various leaks suggest that the iPhone 14 could be an important overhaul for the company.
