After Car Crash, Motorbike In Denpasar Found Dead Drifting In Kali

DENPASAR - A body whose identity has not been identified was found in front of the Puri Swari Hotel, Tukad Balian Street, Sidakarya, South Denpasar, Bali.

"The identity of the victim has not been found yet", said the Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police, Iptu Ketut Sukadi, Thursday, September 23.

According to the police, from the testimony of witnesses, the motorcyclist first hit a parked car. It is suspected that after that, the motorcyclist fell into the river and was washed away.

"The owner of the car at the time of the incident was not at the TKP (scene)", he added.

Another witness said the accident occurred at 02.30 WITA, Thursday, September 23 in the morning. The witness checked the location but did not see the motorcyclist.

The witness and members of the South Denpasar Police looked for the motorcyclist by tracing the river. However, due to dark conditions, the search was stopped.

"But at 07.00 WITA the victim was found about 1 kilometer from the scene (the accident hit a car)", he said.

The victim's body was taken by the Denpasar Regional Disaster Management Agency ambulance to Sanglah Hospital.

"The victim was swept away from the accident site by the current of the river and the victim (when found) was in a prone position wearing a gray shirt, wearing shorts and while the identity of the victim was not found", said Iptu Sukadi.
