COVID-19 Update As Of September 18: Accumulated 4,188,529 Cases, Good News 3,983,140 People Recovered
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 276,094 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 3,385 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,188,529 and active cases have been 65,066", said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, September 18.
Today's recovered cases increased by 7,076 cases, bringing the total to 3,983,140 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 185 people and a total of 140,323 people.
The province with the newest cases was in East Java with 314 cases and a total of 392,973 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 298 new cases with a total of 479,083 cases. West Java has 238 new cases and a total of 700,481 cases. Then, North Sumatra has 232 new cases and a total of 103,136 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 1,306 recovered cases. Followed by West Sumatra with an additional 582 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 558 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 430 recovered cases.
No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 36,200,788.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 364,144 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently, 78,540,519 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 44,716,570 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 838,878. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia was 208,265,720 people.
