Facebook Launches Business Feature That Reaches Potential Customers
JAKARTA - Facebook Inc (FB.O) launched a new way for businesses to find and chat with potential customers on its app. A source from the social media company, on Thursday, September 16, also stated that this feature further strengthens their intention to become an online shopping platform.
"These new features will help Facebook offer users a personalized shopping experience", said Karandeep Anand, vice president of business products at Facebook. This platform itself is already a market leader in digital advertising.
Business Facebook accounts can now add a button on their Instagram profile that allows users to send WhatsApp messages to the company with a single click.
“Integrating WhatsApp is especially important for customers in countries like India and Brazil, where the Facebook-owned messaging app is widely used”, said Anand.
Facebook said they would begin testing their ability to send email through the Facebook Business Suite, a feature that allows businesses to manage their presence across social media site applications, to simplify the way companies reach customers.

It will also test a new way of working from a Business account that allows employees to manage business pages without needing to sign in with their personal accounts.
The new business tool comes a day after WhatsApp began testing a new feature in São Paulo, Brazil, to allow users to discover stores and services through an in-app directory for the first time, as part of efforts to improve e-commerce on their service.
