Without Political Pressure, Minister Of Finance Sri Mulyani Is Free To Pursue BLBI Money, Including Tommy Suharto And Mbak Tutut
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani is one of the important figures to pursue the assets of obligors or debtors who 'enjoy' Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI).
The state had to take back hundreds of trillions of dollars that had been lent to these tens of debtors.
Some of the debtors on the BLBI borrower list are the children of the late President Suharto, Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana, also known as Mbak Tutut, and Tommy Suharto.
Social media activist Denny Siregar said the work of the state treasurer was fairly flexible because it was fully protected by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). This means that the political pressure from the elite that Sri Mulyani had experienced while serving in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was not widely felt.
"This makes Mrs. Sri Mulyani a warlord who is on the front line to repay the remaining debt with a total amount of IDR 110 trillion", explained Denny via CokroTV's Timeline "Denny Siregar: SRI MULYANI VS ANAK-ANAK CENDANA", quoted by VOI, Tuesday, September 14.
For Tutut, said Denny, she received BLBI funds through his 3 companies with a total loan of almost IDR 1 trillion. Besides Tutut, Tommy Suharto is also being chased by BLBI for BLBI debt with a much more fantastic figure of IDR 2.3 trillion.

"This money was borrowed by Tommy through a bank, namely Bank Pesona Utama. The bank is now gone, but the debt is still a debt and must be collected. Tommy has to pay and he is now being chased by the BLBI Task Force to pay off his debts", said Denny.
According to Denny, because this case has been going on for about 22 years, it takes an extraordinary amount of courage to collect it. He smelled that the recent demonstrations were clearly related to the elite who wanted to bring down Jokowi.
Why is that? because Jokowi insists on withdrawing money from the debts of BLBI obligors. "Because Jokowi has the intention to return the country's money", said Denny.
