Government Extends Java-Bali PPKM Until September 20
JAKARTA - The government has decided to extend the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in Java and Bali from September 14 to 20, 2021.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said that more and more regions were experiencing a decline in the level of assessment during the extension of the PPKM in Java-Bali in the next week.
In fact, said Luhut, Bali Province, which previously implemented PPKM Level 4, is currently implementing PPKM Level 3.
"In the implementation of PPKM that was carried out until last week, the government finally succeeded in lowering the province of Bali to Level 3. So from 11 cities/districts level 4 last week, today the number has decreased to only 3 cities/regencies only", said Luhut in a virtual press conference, Monday, September 13.
Luhut said this was the fruit of the cooperation of all parties who had jointly succeeded in maintaining the conduciveness of the implementation of PPKM.

Then, Luhut emphasized that the government would continue to implement PPKM for a long time. This answers many people's questions.
"The government confirms that it will continue to apply this PPKM Level in all areas of Java and Bali and evaluate it every week to reduce the number of confirmed cases and not to repeat the same incident in the future", he explained.
For information, in last week's Java-Bali PPKM, the number of Java-Bali regencies/cities at level 4 became 11 regions with previously 254 districts/cities. Then, more and more regencies/cities dropped to level 2. Then, DI Yogyakarta experienced a decrease in the level of assessment from level 4 to level 3. However, Bali Province was still included in level 4.
