COVID-19 Update As Of September 10: New Cases 5,376, Case Accumulation 4,158,731

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 235,681 specimens were examined with the results, there were 5,376 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,158,731 people and active cases are 118,534", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Friday, September 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 14,356 cases, bringing the total to 3,901,766 recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 315 people and a total of 138,431 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 540 cases and a total of 697,644 cases. Followed by East Java which has 515 new cases with a total of 389,732 cases. Central Java has 505 new cases and a total of 476,740 cases. Then, North Sumatra has 350 new cases and a total of 101,094 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to North Sumatra with an additional 5,275 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 930 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 787 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 659 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 34,319,295.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 6.97 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 209,579 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 71,175,259 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 40,867,993 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 755,434. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
