Men In Toba Stabbed His Daughter And Son-in-law, Then Tried To Kill Themselves By Sticking A Knife
MEDAN - A father in Toba Regency, North Sumatra slashed his biological daughter and son-in-law. The incident occurred in Lumban Dolok, Pardomuan Nauli Village, Laguboti District.
The information obtained, after acting, the perpetrator also tried to commit suicide by stabbing a knife into his stomach. The perpetrator is known to be Jhonni Hutapea (56) and the victim is Denni Boru Hutapea (29), his biological daughter, and son-in-law Hendra Manullang (35).
The head of the Toba Police Public Relations Sub-Division, Iptu Bungaran Samosir, said the incident began when the two victims argued with the perpetrator's wife, Hotma Boru Sinurat, in their yard.
"When the argument broke out, the perpetrator had just returned home from the field after dragging (taking water) a palm tree. At that time, he was still carrying a palm wine knife", he said, Wednesday, September 8.
Seeing the two victims arguing, said Bungaran, the perpetrator tried to break up the two. However, the two of them ignored it.
"Because they were ignored, the perpetrator got emotional and pulled a knife from his waist and slashed the two victims", he said.
"When the perpetrator stabbed Hendra, his wife and child tried to stop him. That's when the perpetrator also slashed his biological daughter", he continued.
After molesting the two victims, the perpetrator left the house and left the two victims who had fallen in the yard covered in blood.

The suspect then went into the kitchen to get a knife and attempted suicide by stabbing him in the stomach once. The perpetrator then ran towards the field behind his house and fell.
"Residents found the perpetrator injured and took him to the HKBP Balige Toba Hospital for help", said Bungaran.
Bungaran emphasized that the case is already under police handling. Officers have checked the crime scene (TKP) and saw the condition of the two victims and perpetrators.
"The case is still under investigation", he said.
