6th Semester Cadet Of Sailing In Semarang Dies, Allegedly Abused By His Senior

SEMARANG - A cadet of the Polytechnic of Shipping Sciences (PIP) Semarang, Central Java, Zidan Muhammad Faza (21), died after allegedly being mistreated by his seniors.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Semarang Police, AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan, confirmed the information about the death of the Jepara cadet.

The 6th semester cadet is thought to have died after being beaten by a senior named Samudra Tampubolon.

From the information gathered, the incident that took place on Monday, September 6 that night began when the victim and the perpetrator were involved in an accident while riding a motorcycle.

The suspect, who did not accept it, allegedly hit the victim in the chest, causing him to fall. The victim was rushed to the Roemani Hospital in Semarang, but his life could not be saved.

Donny added that the perpetrator himself has now been arrested. "The suspect and evidence have been secured at the police station, which will then be further processed at the regional police station", he said.
