JAKARTA - Corporate Secretary and spokesperson for Bio Farma, Bambang Heriyanto said, as many as 14.9 million doses are ready to be distributed after receiving a request from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This amount is the available vaccine stock as of September 5, 2021.

"It is estimated that in September 2021, Indonesia will receive an additional 16.5 million vaccine stocks for Bio Farma's COVID-19 vaccine, which will be filled and finished at Bio Farma's production facilities", said Bambang in his statement, Tuesday, September 7.

Meanwhile, he continued, Bio Farma will receive back 2 doses of CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac, in the form of a finished product for the sixth time, totaling five million doses. "This delivery of 2 doses of CoronaVac is a continuation of the delivery of a total of 50 million doses, which will be received by Bio Farma, in the period of August-September 2021", he explained.

Currently, Bambang said, the 2-dose CoronaVac vaccine received today at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, will soon pass the quarantine stage and the sampling process before getting a lot of release from the Food and Drugs Supervisory Agency (POM) Agency for distribution to 34 provinces in Indonesia.

From the supply of COVID-19 vaccines that have reached 225.4 million doses, Bio Farma has distributed COVID-19 vaccines from January to the first week of September as many as 141.4 million doses.

The details are CoronaVac 1 with three million doses, Bio Farma with 93.06 million doses of COVID-19, AstraZeneca (Covax, B2B and Grants) with 16.8 million doses, Moderna 7.6 million doses, CoronaVac 2 with 20.4 million doses. doses and Sinopharm (grant) 499.9 thousand doses.

In September 2021, Indonesia will receive additional 2 doses of the CoronaVac vaccine in the form of a finished product of 25 million doses of vaccine, as well as additional vaccines from the Covax/Gavi multilateral scheme, bilateral and other bilateral donations. "So it is estimated that the total availability of vaccine stocks in Indonesia for supply in September is expected to reach more than 70 million doses", said Bambang.
