Denpasar Health Office Entered Wrong Data On COVID-19 Patients From Recovered To Died

DENPASAR - Head of Denpasar City Health Office, Bali, Dr. Luh Putu Sri Armini responded to incorrect data input about a female patient with the initials JG (22) who was recorded as a patient who died due to COVID-19. Even though JG is still alive.

"It may be that there was a wrong input of data. Maybe because the officers were tired because there were too many cases at that time", said Armini, when contacted on Monday, September 6.

However, the Denpasar Health Office admitted that it had corrected the data input error and acknowledged that there was a human error due to a wrong click on the COVID-19 patient data.

"It has been repaired to the center, we are just monitoring it because this system is not easy to fix. If you click it, it's a bit difficult. Yes, maybe (human error) because you are tired of inputting your own data", he said.

"Because of this, only two have recovered and died, maybe he clicked the wrong button. It was fixed even though it was on 5 (September) but I don't know until now there has been an improvement. Because this is a system, we can't talk to the system", continued Armini.

The Denpasar Health Office emphasized that there was no intention in this matter. Because it is purely a data input error.

"Nothing like that, you can check it later. It's a pity they are tired. I've told you to be careful, right. Because of this, it concerns people and we don't have a lot of data", said Armini.

"We hope that (there will be no more mistakes). But they're only human, sometimes they make mistakes. Not (deliberately) there is nothing like that", continued Armini.

Currently, the Denpasar Police, Bali, is investigating a female patient with the initials JG (22) who was recorded as a patient who died from COVID-19, but is still alive.

"This is the data that is included in the death data but the fact is that she did not die", said Head of the Denpasar Police, Commissioner Mikael Hutabarat, confirmed separately.
