SIDOARJO – The case of baby dumping in the yard of Luwung Hamlet, Sumokembangsri Village, Balongbendo, Sidoarjo, East Java was revealed. Sidoarjo Police Chief, Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, when confirmed by reporters, said that in this case it was revealed that the thrower of the baby was the biological mother of the baby girl.
"The perpetrator of the wasting of the baby was none other than her own mother, with the initials K, the motive being due to economic pressure", said Kombes Kusumo, Friday, September 3.
He also explained that the condition of the baby who was dumped by the mother was in good health and was being treated at the Balongbendo Health Center. The police will also continue to investigate this case because the mother of the baby is sick and being treated at a Sidoarjo hospital.
"Regarding the threat of punishment, for the mother of the baby, the police impose a violation of Article 308 with a penalty of five years and six months in prison", he said.

Previously, a baby was found by residents in Lowong Hamlet, Sumokembangsri Village, Balongbendo District, Sidoarjo, on Wednesday, September 1, after residents heard the sound of a baby crying around the resident's garden.
The baby was found in the bushes of a resident's bamboo garden wrapped in a bag.
"Yes, that's right, this morning we received reports from residents regarding the findings of the baby", he said.
Ari said the baby girl had been handed over to the local health center for treatment.
Separately, the head of the Balongbendo Health Center, Dr. Rita Sukmawati, said the baby was found in a condition where the umbilical cord had not been broken. She then did the cutting and maintenance. Until now, the condition of the baby is in good health with a weight of 2 kilograms.
"Initially, the baby's condition was blue, possibly cold", she said.
