Police Arrest Owner Of Thousands Of Trihexyphenidyl Pills In Banyuwangi

BANYUWANGI - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cluring Police Sector, Banyuwangi, East Java, arrested a man who was selling Trihexyphenidyl. The man with the initials HR was arrested at his boarding house.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated thousands of Trihexyphenidyl pills that were ready to be distributed.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cluring Police Sector, Iptu Yaman Adinata, said the arrest was based on reports from residents regarding the circulation of psychotropic substances in their environment.

"We arrested the perpetrator with the initials HR at a boarding house in Krajan Hamlet, Benculuk Village, Cluring District", said Iptu Yaman Adinata, Thursday, September 2.

During the arrest, the police secured evidence in the form of 3,000 Trihexyphenidyl pills and IDR 800,000 in cash. The perpetrator was detained at the Cluring police station.

"After we confiscate the evidence, the perpetrators will be detained by the Sector Police Headquarters for the investigation process, this is also part of the operation to crush the Semeru drugs", added Yaman.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 197, subsidiary to Article 196 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health.
