JAKARTA - PT Adaro Energy Tbk (Adaro) through the program "Adaro Fights for Indonesia" provides support for 65 oxygen concentrators and 14,000 vitamin packages for Tabalong and Balangan districts, South Kalimantan.

"Adaro fully understands that moral and material support will greatly assist the handling of COVID-19 patients. We are committed to be present and actively assist the government in tackling the pandemic," said Adaro President Director, Garibaldi 'Boy' Thohir, in a statement quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 2.

Garibaldi Thohir handed over the oxygen concentrator and vitamin packages directly to Tabalong Regent, Anang Syahfiani, at Badaruddin Kasim Tabalong Hospital and Balangan Regent, Abdul Hadi, at Balangan Hospital.

"This time, our support is realized through an oxygen concentrator that meets the criteria for ease of handling patients and can maintain the spirit of health workers", he said.

The oxygen concentrator unit is expected to further complement hospitals and other health facilities in handling COVID-19 patients who need oxygen.

This oxygen concentrator is ensured to meet the criteria for ease of patient handling, namely easy to move and carry to the patient's location, does not need complex handling, and does not need to be refilled.

Adaro in collaboration with the Satriabudi Dharma Setia Foundation (YSDS) provided support for a total of 1,000 oxygen concentrators worth IDR 12.6 billion to hospitals & clinics spread across several regions in Indonesia. A total of 300 oxygen concentrators have been distributed to 15 health facilities in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, which are Adaro's operational areas.

This assistance has been used to support medical heroes, namely doctors, nurses, and members of the TNI who are at the forefront of handling COVID-19. The assistance was also allocated for the provision of 20 ambulances to help mobilize patients or communities exposed to COVID-19.

Adaro is also collaborating with the University of Indonesia in preparing and distributing 100 COVENT-20 Ventilator Units and 40 Dharcov-23S emergency ventilators from Dharma Group to hospitals in Indonesia, providing equipment units for Covid-19 laboratory tests and rapid test kits for several hospitals, to assisting thousands of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel.

In 2021, Adaro again assisted worth a total of IDR 2.75 billion to BNPB for operational activities in the form of incentives for human resources for health workers, ambulance operations, and PPE for medical personnel.

Since March 2020 the ambulance has helped deliver more than 19,000 patients for free in Greater Jakarta.
